Ramp (Beard and Ferguson 2009/10) consists of pairs of prisms cast in pigmented polyester resin. The prisms are designed so that, when positioned against a kerb, they would permit a motorist to mount the kerb and cross the footpath, thus gaining access to a private driveway without having to pay to have the kerb lowered. These sculptures are to be displayed on the floor of a gallery in used condition.
